
Founded in 2019 by Pernilla Winberg. The goal of Winberg Hockey Academy (WHA) is to provide a fun and competitive environment for girls and women ice hockey players to develop on and off the ice.
About Pernilla Winberg
Pernilla Winberg made her debut for the Swedish National Team when she was 13-years old. She made 318 appearances for the Swedish national team, including 12 World Championships, 4 Olympics and won a silver medal in Turin in 2006 where she scored the decisive goal in the semi-final against the USA.
Winberg scored 282 points during her 9 seasons in the SDHL and won 3 National Championships. She was named the Women’s Hockey Player of the year in 2010. Pernilla won a silver medal with Team Skåne boys in the TV Puck Tournament. Pernilla played Division 1 hockey at Minnesota Duluth in the NCAA for four years.
Currently, Pernilla is the Assistant Coach for the PWHL Boston team. She was previously Assistant Coach with the U18 Swedish National Team, who won a Silver Medal during the World Championships in January 2023. She is also an expert commentator for SDHL and SHL at TV4 Hockey.
